Owen Bezick '21 co-founded GatherWare Inc. as a student at Davidson College, building dynamic strategic planning software with multi-year forecasting tools, automatic reporting, and administrative dashboards that gave organizations full control over their long-term facility plans. He met his co-founder, Nicolas Bracco, through the Hurt Hub coworking community, and the two used the space to collaborate and find focused time to build.
What started as a student venture has grown into a platform trusted by some of the largest healthcare systems in the country. Since graduating, Owen has stayed close to the Hurt Hub community, returning as a Nisbet Venture Fund speed mentor to share what he has learned with the next wave of student founders. GatherWare has also continued to tap into Davidson talent, first through the Gig-Hub program and now through the Davidson College Consulting Group, giving current students real-world experience working alongside a company they watched grow from a Davidson dorm room to serving hospitals nationwide.
In 2024, Owen was featured in our documentary Student to Founder: Entrepreneurial Excellence at Davidson College, which followed past Nisbet Venture Fund winners to see how the fund shaped their businesses and where they are today.
