About Amplify Davidson

Amplify Davidson is a collaborative community initiative which seeks to support the growth of Davidson small businesses and equip residents to thrive as entrepreneurs.

Formed through a partnership between the Town of Davidson, NC and the Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the initiative aims to ignite business growth through a multifaceted approach: skills-based educational programming, small business consulting, and a commitment to providing underrepresented business owners with access to subsidized talent.

To date, Amplify has supported over 100 individuals and businesses in furthering their business success!

Skill Development

Actionable skill-development is a key focus area for Amplify Davidson. Through the community’s feedback, we determined educational sessions in marketing, adapting to current tech trends, and entrepreneurship fundamentals to be the most critical focus areas. All programs through Amplify Davidson are open and free to current residents. Learners outside of Davidson are welcome to attend programs at the determined cost.

Check out our Amplify Davidson Classes page to learn more about upcoming learning opportunities or contact Amy Gascon amgascon@davidson.edu.

Access to Talent

The Student Consulting program connects startups and small businesses with talented Davidson College students for short-term project-based consulting work. The team brings a diverse range of skills and fresh perspectives to help solve business challenges and can satisfy needs for data analysis, market research, and more.
