EdX Request for Proposals

January 24, 2022 @ 8:00 am - February 11, 2022 @ 5:00 pm

In response to evolving learner interests throughout the pandemic, EdX has pledged $1M dollars in funding to the development of new courses in the areas of essential human skills; see list of skill areas below. Selected proposals will receive up to $100,000 per course or program to support course development and delivery (full RFP details).

The Hurt Hub is accepting proposals from faculty or staff members to develop self-paced online courses on the DavidsonX platform. In addition to funding from EdX, selected instructors will receive a stipend of $5,000 plus a shared revenue agreement from The Hurt Hub to develop a 4-week online course. Instructors also receive support and guidance, working with an instructional designer and professional film crew to develop the course. Please note, this project would be in addition to your daily responsibilities; please discuss this opportunity with your manager as a potential professional development opportunity. For faculty, course development will be in addition to current responsibilities and not eligible for course release.

Complete this form by February 11 to express interest and reach out to Beth Adams, Innovation Projects Lead at The Hurt Hub, at beadams@davidson.edu if you have questions or want to learn more.
