To bring The Hurt Hub@Davidson to life, Davidson College could not go it alone. In order to create a space that is equally supportive of both campus and community, we are partnering with two organizations that do what they do very well:

Flywheel Coworking will help us offer a 7,500 square foot coworking facility inside The Hurt Hub@Davidson. Founded in June of 2014, Flywheel currently operates a coworking innovation space in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter in Winston Salem, NC — and has grown a vibrant membership base of startup companies, consultants, freelancers and corporate teams. Flywheel actively supports the acceleration of its member’s businesses through intentional social programming, startup curriculum, accelerators and access to events, programs, and publicity opportunities. Davidson will be Flywheel’s second location, opening Summer 2018.

Established as a nonprofit in 2017, LaunchLKN is a collaborative community of entrepreneurs, mentors, educators, and community leaders dedicated to sharing knowledge and motivating growth of the technology-based startup scene in Lake Norman. Its members include local founders and their teams, students, serial entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, and investors who want to see tech and tech-enabled businesses thrive.

In November 2017, The Hurt Hub@Davidson welcomed our first two anchor companies into our space and community: Rocus Networks and Quoin, Inc. Both companies occupy private office suites inside the building, as well as collaborate with faculty and students on projects and internships.
