The visual aid presentation, one of the most ubiquitous yet misused public speaking tools in corporate and academic culture, is like a prop in a play. With a little bit of rehearsal and attention to detail, it can lift your performance from awkwardly disconnected to dynamically human. Join theatre professors Steve Kaliski and Anita Tripathi for an hour-long workshop on how to use acting and design techniques to elevate your visual aid presentations. Whether you’re prepping for an in-class assignment, a pitch to potential investors, or a report to your team, you can use these basic theatre tools to give you a captivating competitive advantage. For students: At the end of the workshop, learn about some upcoming courses in the theatre department that will explore these concepts in greater depth!
